Liz Wooten
The Shenandoah Valley of Virginia is my birthplace. The surrounding
mountains, caverns, waterfalls and cultivated fields that still linger in
my mind, are present in some of my work.
I studied art at James Madison University, and Virginia
Commonwealth University. I strive for simplicity, believing simple
things are great and great things are simple.
My passion is non-objective painting. I find it new and challenging to
throw paint on clean white paper and develop whatever presents itself.
I may start with flowers in mind and end with dolphins under water.
I am a Signature Member of the Virginia Watercolor Society, and an
active member of the Bon Air Artists Association of Richmond,
Virginia. I have been teaching watercolor classes for over 15 years.
"May it please the
Lord, Light of all
things, To show me the
way That I may paint
light worthily."
